NMRT Library Student Spotlight

Nominate yourself or a classmate to be featured on NMRT Notes, the blog of the New Members Roundtable of ALA! We post a regular “NMRT Member of the Week” spotlight, and want to continue this including more members who are currently in library school.

To be featured in the NMRT Library Student Spotlight, send your nomination to nmrttwitter@gmail.com and include the following:

  1. Name
  2. School
  3. Photo (optional)
  4. Answers to the following questions:
  • What drew you to library and information sciences?
  • What’s your dream job after graduation?
  • What do you like most about NMRT?

Call for Nominations, 2016 NMRT Elections

NMRT offers training, opportunities, and a wide variety of programs on the national, state and local levels to assist, encourage, and educate those new to the association and the profession. Now is the opportunity for you or a librarian you know to take a leadership role in that mission!

The NMRT Board needs nominations for the following six open positions on its 2016 election slate:

  • Vice President/President-Elect
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Networking Director
  • Outreach Director
  • Councilor
  • Member Services Director

The terms-of-office, attendance obligations, and responsibilities vary between the positions (more information). Nominations (self-nominations welcome) are due by September 23, 2015. Nominations should be sent to NMRTNominations@gmail.com.
